IDTA & Phoenix Starr Partnership 

An exciting new collaboration between an industry insider and the largest college in the area to deliver competitive and industry-based dance provision.  Phoenix Starr College provides industry practitioners and experienced lecturers delivering all aspects of dance.  On a challenging, physical programme, students enter competitions and benefit from opportunities to work in industry throughout the year.  Students are supported through regular one-to-ones with their dance tutors and a 25 hour-per-week programme covering; Hip Hop, Commercial, Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Contemporary.



2 Year Professional Preparation Course 

This 2 Year Professional Preparation Course is designed for students who aim to go on to higher education level study at age 18. The Part funded programme of study offers 16 - 18 year olds the opportunity to engage with a level of vocational training the way Phoenix Starr know how. Training in Hip Hop and Technique, whilst achieving a Level 3  Diploma.


At Phoenix Starr College we are committed to delivering exceptional, focused training for performers aspiring to work In the music video, film, cruise, cabaret and musical theatre industries. 


With loads of Contact hours training in Hip Hop, Commercial, Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Contemporary, Singing, Musical Theatre, Branding and Performing Business. This course is great for Performers who want to become professionals.



We pride ourselves on being able to offer part funded training in this particular course which is directly comparable, both in terms of faculty and facilities as some of the UK's biggest providers. However, at  Phoenix Starr Academy we deliver this training in small year groups, ensuring that all of our students receive the attention and support necessary to allow them to flourish to their full potential. 


Under the leadership of Jazmin-Jade Buckley (Phoenix Starr) , who is widely known and respected as a performer, choreographer and teacher, the exceptional Industry Professional and  experienced faculty delivering a rigorous relevant  training to dedicated aspiring performers. 


Our Main Focus is to remove the financial barriers to top level training for talented students who may not otherwise be able to afford, especially in style like hip hop that didnt have money injected into its culture as it started on the streets. Through this fully funded programme, we aim to give every talented dancer the opportunity to fulfill their potential. 

Although the course is part funded, additional charges for trips, uniform, compulsory workshops etc will be charged.


Uniform Fee: £165
Enrichment Fee: £200 per year

Part funded: £1500 per year Paid instalments

£500 a term , £125 a month 






Students are also required to achieve 4 GCSEs at a minimum of grade C/4, preferably including English Language and Maths, to gain entry to this course. If not received they will have to continue studying those subject until passed or aged 19 whatever comes first.
